Global warming: who’s laughing?

Who’s laughing? Well apparently a lot of people.

Not many things, serious or not, get past Leno, Letterman and others. Global warming seems to be no exception to this rule. The fact that global warming is being joked about should be a compliment to activists like Al Gore who try to bring the climate crisis to the national spotlight. Nobody jokes about things that aren’t mainstream, and with global warming being poked-fun-at just about everywhere, it shows just how well-publicized the climate crisis is.

On the other hand, there are a lot more jokes than activism going on. Joking doesn’t help conserve energy, or bring about political reform. To some people, it makes a complete mockery of a serious issue. Jokes alone, aren’t the solution.

TAKE A LOOK, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT DO YOU THINK…  funny OR not?

“Here’s good news: George W. Bush says that he is committed to fighting global warming. Yeah, well, he nipped that in the bud, didn’t he? … President Bush says he’s really going to buckle down now and fight global warming. As a matter of fact, he announced today he’s sending 20,000 troops to the sun”

–David Letterman

“President Bush told reporters he won’t see Al Gore’s documentary about the threat of global warming. He will not see it. On the other hand, Dick Cheney said he’s seen the global warming film five times, and it still cracks him up.”

–Conan O’Brien

“According to a survey in this week’s Time magazine, 85% of Americans think global warming is happening. The other 15% work for the White House.”

Thanks to relentless global warming alerts in the media, mantatory viewing of Al Gore’s film in the schools and political and corporate pressure, global warming is indeed mainstream. Scientists and experts who dare question the theory of manmade global warming are quickly silenced, discredited, scorned or punished. The potential to impose unlimited taxes and global regulations are too great to allow debate into the mix. Global warming is here to stay until the masses are well under control.

AL GOREBAL WARMING Is A Greenbuck Happening

But global warming is a natural phenomenon, a “great rhythm” at the earth. We happen to be living in this cycle where Mother Earth is experiencing a “slight fever’.

The unusual warming being felt today is dictated by the sun’s surges of activity, as expert says, and/or nearing alignment with the earth’s magnetic field thereby combining their magnetic forces and sending heat into the earth’s atmosphere, increasing heat in the air, and wind shifting; resulting in the abrupt changes in weather condition in the process.

No, I don’t think its funny at all. It is a very bad joke though…
The Global Warming religion is pure poppycock…

Yes, it is funny, but it will be more funny reading this blog in 20 years– just like it is funny reading the Newsweek stories about ‘Global Cooling’ in the 1970s. People are simply silly, and egocentric– we like to think we can cause things.

Not sure if the serious people who write or read this site understand me or not. The temperature of the Earth has not changed in about 7-8 years, according to the green ‘scientists’. Kind of odd, since China has come online since then… but hopefully in another 20 years even the Greenies will see Al Gore for the idiot that he is. Will they take the award back? Maybe it will just melt away…

Even if scientists disagree I list on my site ways to save money and help the environment.

The funny thing is is that people also assume that it is natural. Lab tests have shown that pollutants keep heat inside like how farting in a blanket holds the smell. Global Warming is fightable, and the Earth does have a chance to heal, but we don’t have to be care free with pollutants.

    Old discussion is old.
